Get a cut of mobile top-ups
14th April 2008

Pubs across the country could soon be offering customers mobile top-up and other services - direct from the till.

CES Software which supplies the software for some 15,000 EPoS systems for pubs, will be driving the add-ons for independent operators following investment by new owner Consolis Systems.

“Pubs are having a tough time at the moment and we want to help them increase their revenue through these services” explains managing director Peter Moore. “Mobile top-up is an easy win. Pubs should be a good sector for it and licensees can make five per cent margin with no investment or working capital tied up.

“We will shortly be able to offer text based marketing in which licensees can cheaply let customers know about the latest offers on via their phones.

“Then we we’d like to get into loyalty cards and membership schemes where pub regulars can pay by swipe card.”
