July saw the completion of 8.0.12 and as of the 4th July we signed off and released 8.0.13 Release 2. The best way to find out what was done would be to have a read of the release notes here.

From here on, we will be having two patches on the website, 8.0.13 Release 2 that is signed off by CES and ongoing patch v8.0.14 Build XX (Development Builds).

For me one of the most significant jobs completed in July was a check that made sure that even if the Settings Server Field is not found (or correct, ie: t:\touch\data') you will now get a nice error message telling you these aren't set plus the loading the settings form for you to check and reset if needed. 
No longer will it crash out and die when a mapped drive is not working or a data set was copied and the control file not kept.

Changes have been made to the Table Planner that will allow you to create your own back ground. please download the Table Planner files from the software section of our website to ensure you have the very latest version.

Also completed in July was a third option for Chip and Pin using www.ackltd.co.uk The main benefit here is no ongoing monthly rental costs for providing chip and pin. A one off payment for the software and chip& pin hardware.

Also completed and awaiting final sign off is the link to the mobile phone E-Top up module. We are looking for trial sites for August. Please contact CES if you want to be considered. Perfect site would be a small convenience store with two or more lanes.

Free 30 day trial of the Management tool to anyone using CES TS Version 8.0.XX

The management module is now available to download either by Clicking Here or via the ces download site. Please note the file is 20Meg. This product will work with CES Version 8 and will be updated continually by a dedicated programmer as and when requests are made. Please download the "installation and operational Manual". Updated release notes will be sent to any one who purchases a management module. One licence is needed per site with an easy to use installation guide.
