Leading
point of sale software specialist CES acquired by Consolis Systems
Consolis
Systems Limited - a
new London-based retail management software
and services company, announced on Friday 7th
March, that it has
acquired CES Software; the company behind the market-leading CES Touch
Screen
electronic point of sale (EPoS) software system used by thousands of UK
pubs,
clubs, hotels, restaurants, CTNs, grocery stores, jewellers and
dry-cleaners.
CES
Software will continue to
operate under its own name as part of the Consolis group of companies.
Consolis
will make an immediate long-term
investment into the ongoing development of CES Touch, CES’s
market-leading EPoS
software suite. This will further enhance the software’s
functionality and will
ensure that it continues to meet the ever-changing
needs of CES’s broad customer base of retailers.
Plans for later in the year include the launch
of an
innovative new range of fully-integrated retailer services.
Terms
of the acquisition deal were
not disclosed.
Consolis
says all of CES Software’s
current employees will be retained. Indeed, it intends to recruit
further staff
immediately in order to provide increased support for CES customers and
dealers’
sales and technical teams.
Peter
Moore,
managing director of Consolis Systems, will become managing director of
CES
Software with immediate effect. Moore
was
previously managing director of electronic payment solutions companies
Omega
Logic and the Eposs Group.
Gordon
Griffin,
Consolis Systems’ director of IT and operations, will also
become director of
IT and operations at CES Software. Griffin
has
over 16 years of experience in retail, telecoms and accounting software
and was
previously IT director at Omega Logic.

Moore, managing director of

already provides excellent functionality and reliability, but we aim to
take
the software suite to a new level.
By
combining the resources and expertise of Consolis with CES’s
proven technology,
we believe we can deliver a unique offering that will enable retailers
to

satisfaction.”
Moore adds:

to receive excellent support from their dealers and this will be
strengthened by
an increased focus from our reinforced sales, support and development
teams.”
